Why do we like Music?

Do you ever imagine why do people like Music? Many people in many cultures value Music as an important part of their way of life, and also such a high value across all human societies. Human life is based on Rhythm, all psychological and biological functions are rhythmic. Harmony, it balance the proportion between different parts of a whole. Melody, according to Leonard Bernstein, all languages spring from a single source. The prehistoric baby in the arms of his mother started to babble in rhythm and tone.

Music and the Brain

According to a recent study by the journal nature Neuroscience, the brain release a chemical that gives pleasure when we listen to music. These results indicate that intense pleasure in response to music can lead to a dopamine release in the striatal system.

Why I am passionate about Filipino Rock Bands?

In different industries in our world like sports industry, movie industry, music industry and etc; Philippines/Filipinos always take slots for the list of best and sometimes take the first rank and be the number one all around the world. There are so many Filipino artists that is amazingly brought fame and honor to our country in the field of music industry. Solo performer, group performer and even OPM rock bands made their way in the world of music, we have Eraserheads,Siakol, Parokya ni Edgar and many more.

Nowadays, Pinoy Bands are incredibly popular in the field of music industry. What makes Filipino Rock Bands so popular? Their main targets are the youths, and youths hold significant number of population in the Philippines. Their songs would usually reflect the kind of life that the youths have today—their songs would appeal to their interests, thus these can definitely capture a large portion of their population. It might also be that, the characters that they exhibit are really unique and one-of-a-kind. They have styles which are exclusive only to their groups.

Why I am passionate about Filipino Rock Bands? As a Filipino, I proudly promote and introduce Filipino Rock Bands.

My favorite OPM Band: Siakol

Every person have their own likes when it comes to music. Some want classic songs, rock musics, heavy metals, hip hop musics, and etc, some prefer country songs, ballads, love songs, and pop music. People choose for their favorite songs and/or bands that somehow at some point they can relate in the message brought by their favorite music. And sometimes, it also shows personality; it expresses emotions, life experiences, and things that is really true in this world.

I prefer Siakol as my favorite OPM Band. "SIAKOL" is pertaining to be free, happy and sometimes a naughty state of mind. What makes Siakol be my favorite Pinoy Rock band is that all there songs is originally composed and written by their vocalist Mr. Manuel "Noel" Rivera Palomo. And another is, all there composed master piece are  very fascinating, it makes you realize that it is really true and somehow open your eyes or senses and makes you smile.
